Changing perceptions at ISESTALKS

Creative entrepreneur Shed Simove
The International Special Events Society (ISES) UK Chapter this week (Tuesday 4th February) kicked off a new year of its educational ISESTALKS programme in style. Creative entrepreneur Shed Simove (pictured) was the main event for the evening where he delivered a funny, insightful and inspirational presentation at The Music Room in Mayfair, London.

Comedian and motivational speaker Shed Simove roused the crowd as he relived his experiences from a lifetime of creativity from his previous days in TV production for hit programmes such as The Big Breakfast and Big Brother. He is the creative mind behind inventions including an international bestselling novel with no words in it, his own merchandise empire and launching his own currency. He also revealed how he once tried to change his name to God.

The evening was all about thinking differently, 75 guests also heard from Smyle MD & Co-Director of The Sustainable Events Summit who reiterated the need to think differently about the importance of sustainability and its impact on the way global brands are behaving.

Catering for the first time at an ISES event, African-Caribbean caterers Agogo’s continued the theme of changing perceptions by showcasing their fine dining cuisine, serving Rice, peas & curry goat shooters, Ackee & saltfish tartlets and Plantain drops with ginger and Orange compote.

Intimate and bright theming was produced throughout by leading event suppliers Metro Broadcast, Designer Flowers, Exquisite Cocktails – serving their popular Guava Cava cocktails, Luma, Well Dressed Tables and The Ice Box. Expert staffing, photography and filming came courtesy of High Society, Rob Holding Photography and Pocket Motion Pictures.
