Beyond its dazzling exterior, Arundel Castle has much to offer from the Armoury and beautiful Regency library through to opulent Victorian bedrooms and 40 acres of stunning grounds and gardens. In fact, an impressive 50% of those surveyed used words such as ‘breathtaking’ and ‘amazing’ to describe their visit to the Castle.
A hit with history buffs, culture vultures and family groups alike, the Castle is now attracting more green-fingered visitors with a quarter of respondents quoting the walled gardens as the stand-out aspect of their experience.
Castle Manager Bryan McDonald stated: “We are all delighted with these results. I was particularly pleased to note that our friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Castle staff added to the very positive experience of our visitors.”
First time visitors to the Castle made up 77% of those surveyed, but Arundel Castle’s appeal is enduring, with some respondents making their fifth visit!
The recent announcement of another packed events schedule for 2014 is set to delight both new and returning visitors. The stand out highlight will be one of Europe’s largest annual Jousting and Medieval Tournaments scheduled for 22-27 July 2014 – a firm favourite since it arrived at Arundel Castle in 2008.
Arundel Castle is currently closed for the winter and will re-open for visitors on 01 April 2014.
