
The event, run by the NHS to encourage better use of smart technologies to enable safer, more secure care for patients, included a variety of digital solutions, particularly app based. Giant iTab were asked to supply a variety of large smartphones throughout the show, not only to showcase the event’s website, but also to show how best in class technology can be deployed easily to large audiences.
“This is a really important sector for the events industry, and specifically event technology,” commented Mark Jones, Founder & CEO, Giant iTab. “A key part of the event’s agenda was to encourage better use of digital, hardware and software innovation to increase the efficacy of care. The show also demonstrated innovations that encouraged safer data usage and even haptic technology.”
The show is the first of many events to showcase new immersive technology, and used Giant iTab hardware to demonstrate the many apps, websites and digital technologies on offer. “It’s incredibly flattering to be seen as the ‘go-to’ place to help other digital businesses best showcase their software, websites and applications. It’s important we show that touch technology of today can be incredibly intuitive and therefore easily adopted by nurses, doctors and care providers. I think there is a great opportunity for us, and other event hardware providers to get out there.”
