Kameha Grand Zürich’s YU NIJYO Restaurant awarded by Michelin Guide and Gault&Millau

Kameha Grand Zurich Hotel, Autograph Collection's first property in Switzerland, has announced Chef de Cuisine Norman Fischer and his team have been distinguished with 15 points by Gault&Millau and one Michelin star for the hotel’s fine dining Restaurant YU NIJYO.

These accolades compliment the hotel’s rating as one of the top 10 city hotels in Switzerland by the renowned Sonntagszeitung newspaper and honouring of Carsten K. Rath as ‘Newcomer of the Year.’ To celebrate this achievement, Kameha Grand Zurich is offering a Surprise Menu for CHF 199/£136 including an overnight stay.

Kameha Grand Zurich has positioned itself as not only a design hotel, but a new gourmet destination in Zurich. L’UNICO the Italian restaurant focuses on traditional Italian cooking, prepared in the open kitchen with the freshest ingredients, while YU NIJYO, the fine dining restaurant offers traditional Japanese cuisine merged with Swiss influences.

The unique offering at YU NIJYO in particular has been rewarded with one star in the renowned Guide Michelin after a very short time. The Gault&Millau also awarded the restaurant 15 points with the announcement: "If Fischer cooks a bit cheekier and spices somewhat more courageously, we are willing to negotiate." They especially praised the lamb from the Schrofen Farm - its preparation and the vegetables combined enticed a "first class!" out of the panel. They also commented on Norman Fischer: "initial impression after the first few weeks: with Norman Fischer, Zurich has one more promising young chef."

Surprise Menu
  Foodies can experience this award-winning cuisine by Norman Fischer with the limited edition Surprise Menu. For CHF 199/£136 per person, guests can experience a 4-course fine dining menu in the YU NIJYO (including the corresponding wine pairing), as well as an overnight stay (including breakfast) in a Deluxe Room or in one of the 11 themed suites for CHF 299/£205.
