Gault Millau Switzerland and sponsor, Carl F. Bucherer, have named the iconic Zurich hotel, The Dolder Grand, ‘Hotel of the Year 2016'. In an official ceremony held on August 31st, the luxury hotel was awarded the prestigious title by Sascha Moeri, CEO of Carl F. Bucherer, and Urs Heller, chief editor of Gault Millau Switzerland.

This is the ninth year the renowned restaurant guide, Gault Millau, has partnered with Bucherer, a luxury watch purveyor, to select the winner of the coveted ‘Hotel of the Year’ title. The Dolder Grand was praised by judges for its exceptional culinary offerings, breathtaking views and bespoke art collection, and of course the spectacular 4,000-square metre Spa.

Founded in 1969, Gault Millau is renowned for detailed reviews of gourmet cuisine across the international hospitality industry, whilst Bucherer is a leading retailer of luxury watch brands. The coveted ‘Hotel of the Year’ award stands for excellence, passion and superlative quality, values at the heart of both Gault Millau, and Bucherer.
