Keele University Conferences and Events hosted hundreds of meetings last year, with a staggering 35,000 guests using the facilities on their campus in Staffordshire. The Keele team were involved with a wide range of events, including welcoming thousands of business men and women taking part in the ‘Europe Corporate Games’ at the end of June. Despite the very busy schedule the venue also won a number of awards for the quality of catering, sustainability and not least their delivery of excellent customer service.
The Academic Venue Show is the consortium’s annual exhibition and illustrates the tremendous scope of facilities available to event organisers at such venues. This year’s Show is being held at The Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster on 11 May, with free entry for event planners.
The Show’s Marketing Manager, Jo Mitchell, commented “The exhibition is a great opportunity for event organisers to discover 40 academic venues, like Keele, that are looking forward to working with them to create more winning combinations.”
