Windermere Hotelier selected to speak with ‘experts’ at London show

Founder and CEO of Windermere hotel, the Cranleigh Boutique, has joined a prestigious panel of UK experts to discuss marketing across the industry, having been cherry picked to present alongside some of the country’s top hoteliers.  Stephen Hargreaves caught the eye of organisers of the Independent Hotel Show, who were impressed by his marketing know-how, with a staggering 96% of the Cranleigh Boutique’s bookings in 2014, through direct channels and not third parties.

He joined Managing Director of Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants, Simon Rhatigan, Founder and Executive Chairman of the famous Mr & Mrs Smith brand, James Lohan, CEO of Wired Media, Tom Beasley and owner and Managing Director of Custard Communications, Petra Clayton, in a seminar entitled: “Fully booked – dream or reality”, ensuring maximum occupancy even in off peak times.

Launched in 2012, the high profile show attracts more than 6,500 UK hoteliers each year and is deemed the business event for the luxury, boutique and independent hotel industry.  Held at Olympia in West London, the Independent Hotel Show comprises a free-to-attend business programme of seminars and workshops in addition to multiple additional networking opportunities.

“I was extremely flattered to have been asked to present at one of the show’s seminars, particularly with such big names on the panel!” said Stephen.

“The Independent Hotel Show is a one-stop business platform for the luxury and boutique hotel industry and a ‘must’ for those wishing to take their business one step further.  Hopefully, those attending the presentation were able to take away a number of useful tips with regards to marketing their own hotels.”

Hargreaves’ new Boutique Church Suites were nominated for four awards this month, with his marketing company for other hoteliers launching in August.
