To further celebrate the prominence of the tourism industry in the Maldives, Visit Maldives hosted a “Maldivian Night” on the evening of Wednesday 9th March, dedicated to the industry stakeholders, trade partners and exhibiting companies in Berlin. Hosted at the Wasserwerk, Hohenzollerndamm, a historic dining hall in Bundesallee, Berlin, this special event was attended by more than 600 individuals, including a number of industry invitees, trade partners, media representatives and government representatives from the Maldives.
To start off the evening, guests were welcomed with a special drinks service accompanied by a live music band, followed by the Maldives Minister of Tourism, Mr. Moosa Zameer, addressing all with a welcome speech and a promotional video of the destination. Before and during a buffet dinner, cultural Maldivian performances took place for the guests to enjoy, including ‘Boduberu’, a traditional Maldivian style of music performed by a group of singers.
