The 6th edition of ILTM Americas at Riviera Maya, Mexico (25 – 28 September 2017) will showcase some of the most significant brands from the European luxury travel landscape, reflecting the markets of interest to North American outbound travellers according to the latest European Travel Commission quarterly report.
ILTM Americas exhibitors are given the opportunity to meet with over 300 hand picked front-line buyers and agents from Mexico, Canada and the US in mutually matched, 15 minute, business-generating appointments throughout the event.
The European Travel Commission report shows that Europe is very much in demand for these buoyant outbound markets with 27 million US outbound travellers choosing this region, particularly Southern and Central European destinations such as Italy and Croatia. The same can be said of Canada – from a total of 34 million Canadian outbound travellers, 5 million set their sights particularly on Southern Europe. Up to 75% of agents hosted at ILTM Americas 2017 are from these regions.
As for the Mexican market, Western Europe (Austria, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland) has attracted 1.5 million from a total of 22 million travellers, with the region registering the highest growth with an average of 5.1%.
