HAE EHA Trade Fair & Convention 2017 set for most successful edition to date

As Hire Association Europe Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) prepares for the return of its annual Trade Fair & Convention today and Thursday [11th -12th October 2017] at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, the team is confident that it will be the event’s most successful edition to date. With a strong focus on the Convention’s theme of Connect – Discover – Learn there is full two-day programme in place over the course of the two days whilst ensuring there is plenty of time to network and meet with the 50 exhibitors.

Amongst the keynote sessions are presentations from Mical de Boer, De Boer Structures, the Rapid Response Deployment - The hire industry supporting crisis situations; Guy Van Der Knaap, MCS, How far are mobile devices driving productivity in the hire industry; Mark Noonan, CITB, Building a Reputable Construction Industry - Is your business ready for the decade ahead and Max Partridge, Build UK, Pre-qualification Reform and reducing bureaucracy in the construction industry.

In a change to the programme, Paralympian Naomi Riches MBE, will replace Derek Redmond for the session on Improving Performance and retaining talent. Naomi was part of the Great Britain Para-Rowing team for a decade, where she competed in the Mixed Coxed Fours, until she retired in 2013. Her legacy includes winning medals at national, world and Paralympic level during her time in the sport, including a bronze at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games and a gold at the London 2012 Paralympics. Naomi was awarded an MBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours List for her ‘Services to Rowing’.

During her rowing career, Naomi had the opportunity to use psychometric profiling to aid her performance. Inspired by this, she joined Thomas Sport as an associate in March 2014, working with the team to bring the Thomas tools to life in sports clubs, sporting organisations and with individual athletes.

With an impressive exhibitor line-up, delegates can also expect to see more than 50 of the UK’s leading hire and event companies. Products and services on display including tool hire, plant equipment, professional services, technology solutions, generators, lighting towers and scaffolding. Some of the exhibitors confirmed include Calor Gas, JCB, Marcrist, Arcotherm, Power and Pyro,

Morris Site Machinery, Bosch Professional Power Tools & Accessories, Altrad Belle, inspHire and Hilti. Other planned activity during the Trade Fair & Convention includes the signing of one of the first Armed Forces Covenant’s in the hire industry. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly. In addition, Bristol Business Engagement Centre will be working closely throughout the event with the HAE EHA team, showcasing its Virtual Reality training in a dedicated V-Hire room, created especially for the Convention. Whilst the HAE EHA team will be on-hand in the SafeHire Lounge to provide delegates with all the information that they need regarding the certification.
