Jay Rayner

Jay Rayner and Jackie Mulligan confirmed for exciting interactive presentations

Venuemasters, the UK’s leading consortium of academic venues, have announced two guest speakers who will present at the 2015 Academic Venue Show.
Acclaimed restaurant critic Jay Rayner will present his "wonderfully entertaining, inspiring and illuminating" talk ‘My Dining Hell’. Full of jokes and satirical humour, Jay will examine our love affair with lousy reviews, read from accounts of some of the most excruciating nights out he's ever had and look at the worst reviews his own work has ever received. ‘My Dining Hell’ will be preceded with drinks and canapés, produced by some of the exhibiting venues.

Renowned meetings industry expert Jackie Mulligan will also be providing an intriguing and engaging look into the future trends within the meetings and events market. As VP for Innovation on the MPI Board of Directors for MPI UK and Ireland, Jackie has presented her research at conferences across Europe and the USA. Having developed an excellent reputation amongst meeting professionals, visitors can benefit from her inspiring tips for ’Staying ahead of the game’.

Speaking about the announcements, Marketing Manager Jo Mitchell has said, ‘We are delighted to confirm such high profile guest speakers for the Academic Venue Show. We are certain visitors will really enjoy their interactive presentations and benefit from their insights. The presentations help make this much more than just an exhibition and will provide another great opportunity for visitors to network with each other as well as be inspired by our great speakers.”

The Academic Venue Show 2015 takes place on Wednesday 20 May at the ILEC Conference Centre, Earls Court, London and is free to attend. This is a unique opportunity to discover the high quality facilities and excellent value for money available at over 40 academic venues, all under one roof and for one day only.
