Events industry meets at International Confex

International Confex, Event Production Show and Office Management and PA successfully co-located for the first time this week, bringing the UK events industry under one roof in a stylish, experience-led series of exhibitions.
For International Confex, this is the second show under the new management and its first full cycle. Taking place 18–19 February, the show continues to pick up pace with the Event Production Show growing again and OMPA integrated into the user experience at Olympia, London.

“Its been another successful show for our exhibitors and another demonstration of the value this industry puts in having a forum that brings the industry together under one roof,” commented Liz Agostini, Event Director. “When visitor figures are finalised and fully collated, we are likely to see a double-digit percentage increase in visitor attendance, with cross over strong between the three shows. It’s been a great result for the future of this show.

"Those who invested properly in the show clearly yielded results. We've had amazing exhibitor feedback on business generated, which is a great testimony to investment in time and energy in the exhibitor experience.”

The shows also saw a strong line up of speakers, backed by a strong programme of education. Clare Balding’s keynote speech and event centerpiece at International Confex saw over 400 event organisers pack the Keynote Theatre and spilling into the aisles.

“Our educational programme was really well received, giving visitors the right balance of entertainment and education whilst also allowing them time to walk the show floor,” continued Agostini. Ambitions remain high for the show and already the organisers are looking to grow again in 2016, “Our policy is to continue to drive these shows forward,” said Agostini.

“There is no doubt, this is the place where the UK events industry meets, and with the three shows combined occupying approximately 18,000sqm gross space, we are delighted to be delivering by far and away the largest forum for the events industry in the UK,” concluded Agostini.
