Event Production Show 2015 reports strong first day

 Event Production Show
Organisers of the Event Production Show have reported a strong first day with excellent visitor footfall and feedback from exhibitors wholly positive. Preliminary numbers indicate that this year’s show, co-located with International Confex for the first time, is set to be one of the busiest in its in history, with visitors queuing through the day to meet with exhibitors and listen to the seminars, workshops and Access Sessions.

Highlights from yesterday’s Access Sessions included a panel session on the importance of Opening and Closing Ceremonies for sporting events, chaired by Piers Shepperd of Wonderworks, he was joined by David Zolkwer of Jack Morton Worldwide, Georgina Warren of London &Partners, Mik Auckland of Red Thread and Andrea Varnier of Filmmaster who joined the panellists via Skype from Brazil.

Also proving hugely popular with visitors were ‘Safety Geeks and Event Nerds’ and There’s more to festivals than the bands!’ with standing room only as visitors heard and interacted with industry experts.

“We’re delighted with the feedback from day one,” said event director, Liz Agostini. “The two shows have managed to retain their independence with separate features and educational content however there has been good footfall between the two that has delivered a real buzz and both shows have certainly had the wow factor. Exhibitors are reporting high levels of enquiries and enjoying meeting a variety of organisers which is extremely pleasing.”

With plenty of interactive, inspirational and content still to come of day two, including a session on the gentrification of festivals with Harvey Goldsmith and Wayne Hemingway, ‘People, Planet, Profit – Part II, NOWIE’s networking event and the Fest Factor.

Situated in Olympia, the Event Production Show is open until 5.30pm on Thursday 19th February.
