Conference and Hospitality Show 2015 records 30 per cent increase in hosted buyers

The Conference and Hospitality Show, the leading event in the North for event organisers and PAs has delivered a 30 per cent increase in hosted buyers and a 20 per cent increase in both the number of exhibiting companies and floor space (when compared to the 2014 show).

Emma Cartmell, managing director CHS Group said: “The show was voted a resounding success by both visitors and exhibitors. The positive feedback has been overwhelming. We moved the VIP area into the Papakata tepees this year and freed up an extra 20 per cent floor space in the hall, but that quickly sold out too. We now have some important decisions about how we grow the show for 2016.”

Ellie Jones, business development manager, Alton Towers Resort said: “It's been a brilliant show! The day has been very busy, we have received some genuine enquiries and plenty of leads to follow up. We brought three members of staff with us and we needed them - they have all been busy all day. It's been a good exercise in changing visitors perceptions too; Buyers were aware that we hold team building events but it's been a great platform to discuss our purpose built conference centre and two on-site hotels too.”

Michael Begley managing director of first time exhibitor Venue Directory said: “It's a great show. It's refreshing to see a show which is an exhibition and with such a focus on hosted buyers. The organisers have made it very easy for visitors to attend so we have met buyers from all over the north - not just centre of Leeds.”

Hayley Morgan, business development manager, imago said: “It's a really good show. There is a great buzz from the exhibitors and visitors alike. Every exhibitor I've spoken to has had a good day. The quality of the buyers has been excellent and we have discussed a lot of genuine enquiries.”

Katy foster, owner, The Yorkshire Sweet Café: “It's our first show - we have met some great buyers  and the exhibitor community have been lovely to us too. We have even just taken a booking for a major bank for their staff event this summer.”
