Business Travel Summit launches for buyers in Benelux and Nordics

The team behind the market-leading Business Travel Show has launched Business Travel Summit Amsterdam, the first two-day conference and exhibition created specifically for travel buyers and managers from the Nordic and Benelux regions.

The event takes place on 5-6 October at the city’s NH Grand Krasnapolsky on Dam Square. Online registration is now open at and free passes are available to buyers who conduct three or more appointments each day with any of the 40-plus hand-picked specialist suppliers.

Business Travel Summit’s two-day programme, sponsored by Egencia and, features high calibre education, networking and supplier appointments introducing buyers to the latest thinking in travel management and helping them to evolve their programmes in line with the changing needs of their travellers and organisation.

Conference delegates will hear from 60 experts across 20 sessions, including buyer-led case studies, topic-specific workshops and a CEO panel. The content has been curated by experienced travel buyers from the Business Travel iQ advisory board and is designed to challenge and inspire delegates, arming them with the skills they need to focus on, and plan for, the future.

Tracks will include:
• Becoming a business thought leader
• Getting more from suppliers
• Making technology work for your programme
• Putting the traveller at the heart of your programme

More than 350 travel buyers, senior industry leaders and start-up founders are expected to attend the first summit and organisers are planning a series of unique and invaluable networking opportunities, including round table workshops and a stunning evening reception at St Olof’s Chapel.

Running alongside the conference is the Business Travel Summit exhibition, where buyers and managers can meet 40 specialist suppliers from all sectors of travel management, including, Egencia, easyJet, Flybe, Deutschebahn, Amadeus, Qatar Airways, London City Airport, Priority Pass, Tristar, B-aparthotels, beTravelwise, Choice Hotels Europe and Hahn Air Interline Services.

“We asked travel buyers and manager from Benelux and the Nordics what they wanted from a new event and the result is Business Travel Summit Amsterdam: two days, a comprehensive programme, a topic-specific conference and fulfilling the needs of the entire region,” commented David Chapple, Travel Group Director, Centaur Live.

“What also makes this event such a special launch is the buyer/supplier ratio – we’re expecting 200 buyers and 150 suppliers – and this will be conducive to some really powerful networking.”
