Academic Venue Show scores high with event organisers

2015 Academic Venue Show Stand
A huge 94 per cent of visitors found the 2015 Academic Venues Show useful to source new venues, according to event feedback reported today by Venuemasters.
Over 240 event organisers visited the free-to-attend show at the London ILEC Centre on 20 May 2015, where 40 academic venues showcased their conference and event facilities.

"The numbers are in, and it’s hard to deny that the Academic Venue Show gave visitors and exhibitors incredible value,” said Jo Mitchell, Marketing Manager at Venuemasters. “Almost every visitor left the show with useful new venue ideas, contacts or leads. For event organisers who couldn’t make it on the day, you can still find a high-quality academic venue with help from Venuemasters. And of course, we’ll be back with an even bigger and better Academic Venue Show in 2016.”

Feedback also showed that:
• 65% of visitors said they ‘will’ or ‘probably will’ use one of the exhibiting venues in the next 12 months
• 89% of visitors rated their overall Academic Venue Show experience as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’
• 82% of exhibitors rated their overall Academic Venue Show experience as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’

Exhibitors and visitors also left a number of glowing comments about their experience at the Show. Visitor Kelly Roberts of NUS Services found AVS 2015 to be “a great show to attend if you are looking for new venues at great rates.” Rita Grudzien of The Attingham Trust also commented: “This is my first show and I found it incredibly interesting, useful and fun - will definitely be back next year!”

Among exhibitors, Liz Leake of the University of Hull said: “We thought the show was excellent - the best one we have been to!” And Matthew Woodham of Royal Holloway added: “We came away with some excellent leads.”
