A Highland Games with Belmond Royal Scotsman

As the Commonwealth Games approach and Scotland gears up for a summer of sport, Belmond Royal Scotsman is offering its guests a taste of a traditional Scottish Highland Games let by expert Highlanders.
A Highland Games experience can be tailored and arranged for large groups or an entire charter travelling aboard the luxury Edwardian carriages of Belmond Royal Scotsman, whether on the striking white sandy beaches of the West Coast, or at the private Rothiemurchus Estate amidst the dramatic pine forests of the Cairngorms.

A traditional Scottish sport, the games include tossing the caber and Scottish hammer, throwing the haggis, welly-throwing and sack race, whether guests are travelling with friends, family or for business, a Highland Games experience is an ideal team bonding exercise to keep competitive spirits high.

The UK’s only luxury sleeper train accommodates just 36 guests and journeys across the Highlands of Scotland on itineraries from two to seven nights between March to November. During their stay, guests are treated to culinary delights using local ingredients, traditional Scottish entertainment and sleep in comfortable cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Each itinerary includes visits to distilleries, family-run estates and castles and visits to some of Scotland’s famous golf courses can also be arranged.

Belmond Royal Scotsman is offering a special group rate for two or four night itineraries departing Edinburgh on selected departures throughout April and May 2015. Prices start from £1,140 per person, with two guests sharing a twin cabin. Prices are based on 10 or more cabins booked on each journey and on an all-inclusive basis.
