Powered by a combination of Panasonic and Gogo technology, the new WiFi service is now available on all of Virgin Atlantic’s 39 aircraft, with passes starting from just £2.99.

Online fares for travel within 14 days start at £22 single, while kids aged 15 and under travel for free.

Fraser Brown, Director of Heathrow Express said: “We are delighted to be working with Virgin Atlantic to be able to offer their passengers the chance to easily purchase tickets in-flight so they can enjoy a seamless journey from plane to train and into central London.”

Mark Anderson, Executive Vice President of Customer at Virgin Atlantic said: “This year we became the first airline in Europe to offer Wi-Fi across our network, and now we’ve partnered with Heathrow Express to add even more benefits for our customers. From November we’ll offer complimentary access to the Heathrow Express website from the air, enabling a seamless onward journey to and from central London.”
