Maritim Hotels, Germany’s leading family owned hotel group, is set to welcome meetings with religious groups and associations from across the world this year as part of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.  2017 marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses to a church door in Wittenberg, effectively beginning the Protestant Reformation.

Maritim: meeting & event trends 2017

This year has seen a number of trends impact the marketplace. Mark Spivey, Director of International Sales, at Maritim Hotels looks ahead to how these trends will evolve in 2017.
Sharing economy: More and more delegates now source their own accommodation through sites such as Airbnb and HomeAway and this looks set to increase in the year ahead. This move away from block bookings makes it more difficult for hotels to offer competitive prices on room blocks for depleted numbers.

Go green with the Maritim at ibtm (stand F50)

The largest conference venue in central Berlin and its sister venue have the perfect package for planners keen to go green.
The ‘Green Meeting’ package at the Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin and the Maritim Hotel Berlin (stand F50 at IBTM) incorporates sustainable elements such as fair trade food, regional produce and recycled meeting materials.

Maritim boosts communications with new PR appointment

Maritim hotels has appointed Clareville Communications to manage its PR activity in the UK. Germany’s largest owner-managed hotel group is working with the London-based agency to profile its international hotel network to meeting and event planners, travel trade and consumers. Clareville Communications also manages PR for Maritim in the US, targeting the meetings and event sector.

New look for the MARITIM Titisee Hotel
