WRG strengthens creative capabilities with two new roles

Andy Walker
In light of recent growth, leading experiential agency WRG has strengthened its integrated creative team by creating two new roles. The new roles will support WRG’s clients across a range of categories including tech, healthcare and professional services.
Wayne Briscoe joins as Senior Creative Artworker while Andy Walker joins the creative team as Senior Creative. Both roles are based in WRG’s Manchester office.

The Scotch Whisky Experience strengthens marketing team

Five-star visitor attraction, The Scotch Whisky Experience, has appointed Gillian Beaton as its new business development marketing manager.  
Returning to The Scotch Whisky Experience after four years as marketing manager at The Royal Yacht Britannia, Gillian will focus on strengthening the travel trade and intermediary side of the business.

Rupert Taylor appointed Head Chef for Allium Restaurant and the Abbey Hotel, Bath

Rupert Taylor, Head Chef, Allium Restaurant and the Abbey Hotel, Bath
The Abbey Hotel, Bath has announced the appointment of Rupert Taylor as Head Chef of Allium Restaurant and the Abbey Hotel. The 36-year-old chef, born and bred in Bath, brings 20 years’ experience to his new role.
  Rupert has an impressive culinary CV that is rooted in Bath. Most recently, Rupert was Head Chef at The Swan at Swineford, which he ran in partnership with his wife, Amy, and consulted for 2 Michelin star Whatley Manor and city centre restaurant The Chequers. Meanwhile, Rupert’s career began locally - under Gary Jones at Homewood Park, followed by two years at The Royal Crescent Hotel.

Lord’s bolsters team with string of new appointments 

Marylebone Cricket Club new appointments
Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), owner of Lord’s Cricket Ground, has strengthened its hospitality and meetings and events teams with a string of new appointments.
Nicole Dyer joins the team as Marketing Executive from the London Irish Rugby Club. Nicole will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role, having previously worked at the London Irish Rugby Club as Marketing and Communications Executive and previously for the Household Cavalry Foundation.

New UK director of sales for Carlson Wagonlit Travel

Jo Dobson
Jo Dobson, has been appointed senior business development director for CWT UK & Ireland. She has been filling the role on an interim basis since December last year.
Joining CWT 18 years ago, Jo started her career at age 21 as a section manager, and five years later started her journey in sales. She will now be a member of CWT UK & Ireland’s leadership team.

HKCEC’s new appointments to strengthen leadership

Mr Thomas Tong, HML’s new Deputy Managing Director
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (HML) announces recent appointments of three key senior management positions.  Mr Thomas Tong and Miss Jessica Wong have been promoted to Deputy Managing Director and Director of Venue Operations of HML respectively with effect from 1 January 2017 while Dr Stewart Wan has been appointed as Director of Facilities Planning & Operations on 20 July 2016.
