AKARYN Hotel Group (AHG) has announced the appointment of Daniel Amadeus as General Manager of Aleenta Resort & Spa Phuket and of the brand new Akyra Beach Club Phuket.  
Daniel, a Swiss national, graduated with an Executive MBA with Reims Management School and renowned hospitality school École Hotelier de Lausanne, Switzerland. With over 25 Years in the hospitality industry Daniel comes to AHG with an abundance of world-class experience. He has worked with a number of hotels including the Shangri-La, Mandarin Oriental, Conrad, Movenpick, Kempinski, InterContinental hotels and most recently with Dulac Hotels Moscow/Zurich.

Dusit International appoints new Vice Presidents of Sales and Marketing departments

Global hospitality company Dusit International has announced the appointment of Ms Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk as Vice President Sales, and Mr Michael Leong as Vice President Marketing, effective from 15 February 2017.
Ms Tantiprasertsuk has worked for Dusit International since 2015 as General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket Resort. She studied Hotel Management at London City College and counts hotel companies such as Peninsula Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Anantara among her former employers.  In her new position she will oversee MICE, Online Travel Agents, Global Sales Offices, Hotel Sales, and Revenue Management.

Konrad Gstrein has been named General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. A true leader in the industry, this is his sixth appointment with the company.
Gstrein’s illustrious career started with Four Seasons in 2001 as Assistant Guest Services Manager at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. His journey has been fast paced and nonstop with signature assignments in Sydney and New York, where he worked in several management positions. In 2008, Gstrein was promoted to Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

ASAP appoints Richard Whittaker of Oakwood Worldwide as new Chairman of the Association

The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) - the not-for-profit trade body for the serviced apartment sector - is delighted to announce that Richard Whittaker, Director of Supplier Management (EMEA) at Oakwood Worldwide, has been appointed as its new Chairman.
Richard Whittaker has held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Association since September 2016 and takes over as Chairman from 16 February 2017, succeeding Don James, Managing Director of Berkshire Rooms, who has held the position for the last 2 years.

RBH new appointment set to bring rapid European expansion

Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Goldscheider – formerly of Zeitgeist Hospitality Management – has been appointed to lead the RBH expansion into Europe. RBH is proactively targeting Germany and Poland for lease and management contract opportunities for large branded hotels.

Adam Hill joins drp digital team

Steward is new man at Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel

The luxury four-star Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel, near York, has appointed Stewart Woodeson as its new general manager.
Woodeson brings more than 20 years' experience to the role, having worked as a general manager for some of the UK's most well-known hotel brands. He also has a wealth of experience in catering and golf, including a role as food and beverage resort manager at Wales' 2010 Ryder Cup venue, the Celtic Manor Resort.
