InterContinental London – The O2 appoints new Director of Operations

InterContinental London – The O2, managed and operated by the Arora Group, has announced the appointment of Holger Marass as Director of Operations.  
Holger has over 16 years’ experience within the hospitality industry, beginning in his native Germany at Hilton Munich City before transferring to the Hilton London Metropole in 2006.


He subsequently worked at several 4- and 5-star central London hotels, including most recently as Food and Beverage Manager at Park Plaza London Riverbank & Plaza on the River (part of PPHE hotel group), before joining the Greenwich Peninsula-based InterContinental London – The O2 this month.

Holger Marass commented: “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Director of Operations at InterContinental London – The O2. With several F&B outlets, a spa and extensive M&E facilities at the hotel, my focus initially will be on working closely with Globy and the rest of the fantastic hotel teams to ensure that the highest standards are set and that our guests always leave with highly memorable experiences.”  

InterContinental London – The O2 boasts 453 guestrooms, a luxury spa with a 17m swimming pool and eight treatment rooms, as well as a collection of London’s finest destination inspired restaurants and bars, including the 3 AA Rosette Peninsula Restaurant, the lively, interactive Market Brasserie, the unique Clipper Bar with its own exclusive Clipper Gin, the rooftop Eighteen Sky Bar and the Meridian Lounge with a riverside terrace.  

The hotel also has a 4,500sqm dedicated conference centre with a 3,100sqm pillar-free ballroom and 1,600sqm of pre-function space overlooking the River Thames.
