Pine Cliffs Resort, Algarve appoints Céline Fernandes as new resident nutritionist

Europe’s leading five-star resort, Pine Cliffs, A Luxury Collection Resort in the Algarve has appointed Céline Fernandes as Resident Nutritionist.  With over a decade of experience in the field, Fernandes will provide expert dietary guidance to further enhance the resort’s extensive health and wellbeing offering.

Fernandes will work closely with Spa & Fitness Director, Maria D’Orey, who oversees the award-winning Serenity – The Art of Well Being Spa, and collaborate with Pine Cliffs’ Executive Chef, Stuart Sage.  She will be responsible for maximising healthy menu options across all 12 dining outlets, providing guidance on food allergens, training staff on the importance of nutrition and food preparation, and revising the hotel’s popular #PineCliffsLifestyle wellness programmes. In addition, she will offer personalised nutrition classes.  

Prior to joining Pine Cliffs, Fernandes was a nutritionist for several hospitals, schools and clinics. She has been a member of the Nutritionist Order in Portugal since 2012 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and a further qualification in Dietetics and Nutrition, as well as multiple certificates in sports nutrition, phytotherapy and nutritional coaching.
