Four-legged ‘Wellness Director’ joins CT Groups, Conferences & Incentives

CT Groups, Conferences & Incentives, based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, knows only too well the impact a friendly face, wet nose and furry tummy can have on staff wellbeing. So much so in fact, they have recruited a Wellness Director in the name of Willow, a very loveable Cockapoo, to keep an eye on the events team in the office.

Willow has been settling in to her new role and has taken to it like a duck to water, frequently providing cuddles, laughter and entertainment within the CT Group Travel office.

However there is a serious side to Willow’s ‘appointment’ with studies showing that having a dog in the workplace can encourage healthy living, with staff encouraged to get out of the office and take them for a walk, as well as increasing morale and reducing stress levels. Having an office dog is a trend that is growing within the workplace with a survey from Reed.co.uk finding around 8% of employees in the UK are now allowed to take their dogs to work.

Managing Director Corporate Travel and Willow’s owner, Clare Collins, says: “Introducing Willow to the work place has been a positive experience for all involved and she takes her role as Wellness Director very seriously. She is naturally a very inquisitive creature so she thrives on having so many people around her. She’s a great hit in client meetings too!”
