CWT RoomIt appoints Chief Experience Officer

Scott Hyden has joined RoomIt, CWT’s hotel division, as Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer. In this role, he will provide strategic leadership over RoomIt product and distribution channels and the user experience.

His core task is to increase customer retention, improve operational efficiency, and ensure CWT delivers a world-class experience to travellers. He starts on 12 February, based out of RoomIt’s new Chicago HQ, and reports to David Falter, RoomIt’s newly-appointed President.   Prior to joining RoomIt, Scott was Global Vice President of the Enterprise Customer Group for Travelport. He also previously led Travelport’s business in the Americas and grew the company’s global online results.

Before joining Travelport, Scott was President of STA Travel Inc. and held general manager roles for Travelocity Business, where he oversaw all aspects of Travelocity’s global corporate agency offering, and Travelweb, where he was responsible for strategic and tactical initiatives associated with product development, online and offline marketing, and quality assurance. He also spent ten years with American Airlines.
