Lavender Green Flowers appoints four new team members

Lavender Green Flowers is delighted to announce the arrival of four new team members to kick off 2018: Colin Gray joins as Managing Director, Claire Alnutt joins as Contracts and Outdoor Projects Manager, Bryony Ross joins as Weddings Co-ordinator and Lucas Wozniak joins as Assistant Logistics Manager.

Sue Barnes, Owner/Creative Director of Lavender Green Flowers comments: “We couldn’t be happier kicking off the year with some exceptionally talented, dynamic, passionate new team members joining the fold. All four employees had existing relationships with us and joined via word of mouth, which to me demonstrates how our reputation serves to our benefit, demonstrating that our company's achievements and our ethos are being well recognised. All our new team members are like-minded professionals who (importantly!) have good sense of humours, and who share the same passion for delivering an exceptional service.”

Colin Gray boasts an enviable CV with a wealth of experience in the events industry. He joins Lavender Green Flowers from Searcy’s where he most recently held the position of Operations Director. Prior to that he held senior positions at The Goodwood Group and By Word Of Mouth. Colin will manage the development of the brand’s venue relations and will develop the ecommerce offering, with plans in motion to increase a presence for Lavender Green Flowers through weddings and events both in the UK and abroad. He will also develop the retail side of the business via the London shop and online.

Sue says, ‘I am very much looking forward to Colin joining the team as MD. The business is expanding and having someone steering it forward leaves me more time for the creative role.’

Colin says, ‘I have always admired Lavender Green Flowers’ consistent delivery of the best high-quality, seasonal (and very often British) exquisite displays. They have grown completely organically up until now as a direct result of their hard-work, investments that they make in a top-notch team, and because of their professional and very charming personalities! There is now huge potential for growth across every area of the business, with immediate opportunities for expansion within weddings, day and evening events and large scale outdoor events, plus within retail (at the boutique and online).’

Claire Alnutt joins from Sky Sports. After a hugely successful 2017 with Lavender Green Flowers being selected to provide floral designs at the likes of RWHS, Chelsea Flower Show, Aegon Championships, Royal Ascot and Wimbledon, additional senior level investments in this department were required. Claire has an exciting and busy year ahead of her!

Bryony Ross joins the Lavender Green Flowers weddings team from Searcy’s. She will assist Maddie Dawkins, Wedding Manager and Business Development Manager, working on approximately 50 weddings/year.

Lucas Wozniak joins the team as Assistant Logistics Manager. He will be supporting in the coordination of meticulous deliveries to some of London’s most unique and fabulous venues.

Lavender Green Flowers has an enviable and well-earned reputation for being one of the best florists in the country, with over 25 years’ experience decorating the most wonderful weddings and events. Sue Barnes’ motto for the company is 'We are only as good as our last job’. She gives each team complete creative freedom, attracting the best talent across the board. The team (now of forty) all share a passion for providing the best quality flowers for the best price.

The future is bright and beautiful at Lavender Green Flowers. The family-owned florist is set to continue to grow, going from strength to strength and constantly investing more time and energy in to their unparalleled level of service, and to the execution of bringing to life perfectly spectacular flowers.
