Street Feast appoint Head of Consumer Events

Romy Westwood
London Union, parent company of the successful Street Feast, has appointed Romy Westwood as Head of Consumer Events. Westwood will work alongside Emma Howe, Sales & Events Director, to devise an annual event strategy and manage a calendar of exciting consumer events – some of which are already well known to fans of Street Feast, including; National Burger Day, Auction Against Hunger and Oktober Feast.

Westwood’s appointment follows a successful year of building the corporate events arm of Street Feast, with household brands including Google, Facebook, BuzzFeed and Sky choosing to host events at the unique venues. Westwood previously held the position of Fair Director at Ramsay Fairs, delivering a host of large scale events; Affordable Art Fair, PULSE Art Fair and GROW London. Joining in 2007, Westwood has been instrumental in the company’s growth to 20 events globally.

Westwood commented on her appointment; ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Street Feast at this exciting time of expansion. Having watched their growth with enthusiasm and admired their creativity from a far over recent years, it’s really inspiring to now be a part of the team and London Union’s development in 2017 and beyond.’

Emma Howe, Sales & Events Director added; ‘The appointment of Romy is a demonstration of our commitment to making sure every encounter our guests have with Street Feast from corporate to consumer is excellent. She brings with her a wealth of experience in managing unique events.’

The pioneering Street Feast model takes underused and neglected spaces in London and turns them into vibrant street food spaces, hosting a line-up of superb street food traders and bars in all their venues. Over the past three years, Street Feast has created street food arenas in warehouses, former carparks and abandoned office blocks. Now, the company opens these impressive spaces for shared bookings during weekend opening hours and exclusive venue hire during the week.

In the spring of 2017, they will welcome a new venue in Canary Wharf to the group.
