Celebrity Cruises appoints regional sales managers

Following the announcement earlier this year that six new regional sales managers will be joining the team, Celebrity Cruises today announces the appointment of Rachel Mould to the role in the North East and Mandy Burrie in Ireland. Both appointments are part of further enhancements to the UK and Ireland regional sales manager team and will report in to Claire Stirrup, head of sales for Celebrity Cruises.

Mould joins from Princess Cruises where she held the role of regional business manager and was responsible for driving sales and raising brand awareness with agents. As regional sales manager for the North East, Mould will be charged with providing additional support to Celebrity Cruises’ agent partners.

In addition to Mould’s appointment, Mandy Burrie has been appointed as regional sales manager for Ireland. It is the first time that an additional role in the regional sales manager team has covered Ireland.

Sarah Harraghy, commercial sales director, Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland, explains:   “Celebrity Cruises is committed to increasing our presence at stores, agent events and in call centres throughout the UK and Ireland. We are increasing our team dedicated to each region to cope with the demand for our face-to-face commitment. Supporting our agent partners in the way that works best for them is key focus for our business.”

Further support will also now be available to consortia partners, particularly on a regional level. Bhavneeta Taylor, strategic account manager, consortia, will enjoy additional reinforcements from the regional sales managers in their relevant areas of the UK and Ireland.

Michael English, head of business development, will continue leading his team of strategic account managers working to increase Celebrity Cruises’ reach to affluent holidaymakers in targeted areas of the country through cruise specialist and luxury trade partners. This includes taking a model that worked successfully over the past two years in London, and applying it to regions including the North West, South coast, Midlands and Ireland.

The Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland sales team and all trade partners are also assisted by an office-based trading team and trade marketing manager. In additional to providing tools to aid sales, the team also delivers important information on offers, campaigns and new products and services to boost the efficiency of agent partners. Plus, there is a dedicated Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland agent trainer, Leon Hand, who through online and face-to-face training reaches over 16,000 agents.
