In this newly-created role Gayle is responsible for the company’s people and technology strategy. Her vision focuses on the importance of culture and values, and the development of innovative systems and processes to support the SECC’s strategic objectives.
Previously Financial Controller and, most recently, Deputy Director of Corporate Services for the company, Gayle brings a wide experience in project and change management to the position. She also has an extensive knowledge of finance, human resources and information technology, and a great passion for people.
Commenting on her appointment, Gayle said: "I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take up this new post at the SECC at such an exciting time. I believe that technology will provide efficiencies if it has the correct business process and the people supporting it. I look forward to working with the People Team and the wider campus to develop future growth and contribute to the ongoing success of the company.”
Announcing the appointment, Peter Duthie, Chief Executive, SECC said: “I am delighted that Gayle has accepted the role of Director of People and Technology.
“This appointment comes at a pivotal stage as we go forward with the necessary structure and skill sets to meet our company mission of Best Venues, Best People, Best Events, and ultimately our vision to be the Best Event Campus in Europe.”
