Ballynahinch Castle Hotel & Estate has announced the appointment of Ultan Cooke as Head Chef. Cooke will oversee menus at The Owenmore Restaurant and characterful Fisherman’s Pub & Ranji Room, seeking to enhance the hotel’s exemplary reputation for traditional Irish hospitality and authentic food.

Cooke brings a wealth of experience to the role. Having started his career in London at The Lanesborough Hotel, he held positions at a number of top restaurants, leading to his role as Head Chef at Wine Rooms Smiths and Smiths, Spitalfields before his tenure as Head Chef at Aniar Restaurant; Galway’s first to restaurant to achieve a Michelin Star.
