BDRC Continental appoints Karen Small as Client Services Manager to expand VenueVerdict customer experience programmes

On the board for the Event Marketing Association, Karen Small also brings significant events industry experience from her previous role as the Events Team Manager.

BDRC Continental today announced that Karen Small has been named Client Services Manager for their Hotels and Hospitality research team. Karen will be supporting the customer experience programmes in the VenueVerdict suite, developing their onsite mystery shopping in both overnight and event sales.

Karen joins BDRC after ten years working at Nationwide building society, and brings an end-customer perspective for the hospitality team. Her final role as Events Team Manager saw her running a team of event managers responsible for Nationwide’s busy schedule of conferences, roadshow and exhibitions, recognition events, hospitality and executive meetings.

Well-known in the events industry, Karen spoke as a corporate buyer on the panel at BDRC’s Hotel Insight Forum in 2014.

James Bland, Director of BDRC’s Hotels and Hospitality division, said “After numerous meetings at industry events, we decided to approach Karen to be a part of the team at BDRC. Impressed by her skills and experience, we saw that Karen had a unique perspective as a board member of the Event Marketing Association and her career to date, making her highly suited for the role and a good fit for the team.”
