Former Merlin Events London Co-ordinator Sophie Linin joins Middle Temple

Sophie Linin
Central London venue, Middle Temple, has recently appointed former Merlin Events London co-ordinator Sophie Linin as events supervisor. Linin’s role at Middle Temple will focus on the operational delivery of corporate and private events including dinners, meetings, receptions and term night occasions. She will also assist in the management of Middle Temple’s pop-up and fixed restaurant offerings.

Linin said: “Joining Middle Temple fulfils my dream of working at an historic venue. With my passion for the past and my love of events, I am really looking forward to getting involved in every part of running events at this beautiful venue.”

With over 10 years combined event and hospitality experience, Linin brings substantial knowledge to her new role including managing internal and external events and undertaking inbound event enquiries. Linin’s previous experience has seen her work as head of marketing for Bite the Ballot – the grassroots campaign which works with 16-25 olds across the UK, encouraging them to sign the electoral register.

Whilst working at Middle Temple Linin is studying for a BA honours degree in history with the Open University.

Combining stunning historic features and beautiful secluded grounds, Middle Temple provides an impressive backdrop for events. Spaces include the Hall, which features an original double hammer beam roof, accommodating 500 guests for a reception and 300 for dinner. The Bench Apartments comprise 3 additional event spaces each with their own individual character, accommodating between 40-120 guests. The studious Rutledge Suite provides an entire floor of 7 rooms which can be configured in a number of ways for daytime conferences, meetings and training seminars for up to 60 delegates.

A hidden gem close to Embankment, Middle Temple’s award-winning landscaped gardens offer the ideal location for receptions and summer events. With the addition of a marquee 1,000 guests can be accommodated.
