Business still booming for Chambers Travel Events – new senior account director appointed

Chambers Travel Events has experienced an exceptional 70 per cent growth in turnover over the last year to total £7.2 million after winning new business worth £2.8 million since May 2014 - a 40 per cent increase over the previous year.  
New business includes a five-day conference in Dublin for a leading technology company held at Double Tree by Hilton Burlington Road in March this year.

The event was a global sales kick-off for 500 delegates featuring offsite dinners around the city and a gala night at Guinness Storehouse.  Chambers Travel Events also managed travel and logistics for 700 delegates attending the Martini 150 event in Italy last September.  

The full service agency, part of Chambers Travel Group, has also boosted its team with the promotion of Hannah Fletcher to senior account director.

Fletcher first joined Chambers Travel Events in 2013 as event manager, before taking on the role of EMEA marketing manager for Chambers Travel Group in 2014.  Her extensive background in the events industry prior to joining Chambers includes a stint with W&O Events as account manager and two years as pan-European events planner for a leading pharmaceutical company.    

“Hannah’s role has been created to focus on current client management and new business as well as service excellence across Chambers’ global events portfolio. Her background in marketing and brand allows her to take the lead on the experiential and brand activation side of our events business,” said Frits De Kok, marketing and events director, Chambers Travel Group.  

Anne-Marie Stearn has also been appointed as event co-ordinator to support the Chambers Travel Events team with venue finding and delegate management. She was previously an events co-ordinator at Bombed Out Church in Liverpool.

“These are exciting times for us as our events division continues to grow rapidly, building on its success year on year. We already experienced 38 per cent growth in 2013/14, so to increase our turnover by 70 per cent in 2014/15 is phenomenal,” she added. “We have a strong team of events specialists in place who are delivering exceptional service and innovative high quality events to our international client base. We are confident of achieving our growth target of a further £2.5 million turnover over the next 12 months.”
