House of Daniel Thwaites eliminates over 400,000 plastic bottles from hotel rooms

The House of Daniel Thwaites has cut over 400,000 plastic bottles from its hotel rooms by the introduction of water and fresh milk filters in each corridor as part of its plastic waste reduction initiative.
The plastic water and milk bottles that were provided for guests in their rooms, have now been replaced with reusable carafes allowing guests to use the water and milk dispensers to obtain the amount required at any point during their stay.

Reuben Brothers acquire Hotel La Palma in Capri

Reuben Brothers have completed the acquisition of the iconic La Palma Hotel in Capri, the first and oldest hotel on the island, opened in 1822. Loved by artists, musicians and writers throughout the years, the hotel, currently with 72 rooms, will undergo an extensive refurbishment to enhance both the charm and level of luxury offered by this historic establishment.

Investment strategy drives growth for hotel group

Apex Hotels Limited has reaped the rewards of significant investment across its portfolio, marking another year of strong growth.  
The UK-wide hotel group has reported a 9.5% increase in turnover (up from £68.9m to £75.4m) as well as a 51% increase in pre-tax profit to £11.7m.
