Belfast hotel boosted by refurbishment

Ramada by Wyndham Belfast reception
A hotel at the heart of Belfast’s stylish Cathedral Quarter has been given a six-figure makeover as part of a recent rebrand.
The former Ramada Encore Belfast has marked the completion of a £450,000 refurbishment, and has rebranded to Ramada by Wyndham Belfast.

Managed by RBH, the UK’s leading independent hotel management company, the hotel will welcome guests into fresh new surroundings following five months of work on its guest bedrooms.

All 150 standard rooms have been freshly decorated, including new beds, linens, throws and artwork.

An additional 15 executive rooms have also been created, with upgraded furnishings, including carpets, and Bluetooth speakers. Guests will also be greeted with welcome hampers containing bathrobe, slippers, drinks, snacks and additional toiletries.

Regular visitors to the hotel will also notice the hotel team’s new look, with all employees sporting brand new uniforms to tie in with the property’s new branding.

Local charities have benefitted from the refurbishment work, with several items including pillows and duvets donated to Depaul, an organisation that supports the homeless and those at risk of homelessness.

The hotel’s famous Belfast landmark canvases are also being ‘auctioned’ via social media, in exchange for donations to NSPCC Northern Ireland, with £400 raised so far, and artworks making their way as far afield as Canada as a result of follower requests.

Ramada by Wyndham Belfast which also boasts a bar, restaurant and outstanding conference facilities, sits just a stone’s throw from the Titanic Quarter, the SSE Arena and the ICC Belfast. Guests are also in easy reach of the city’s shopping district which is just minutes away, and the University of Ulster Belfast Campus, which sits on the hotel’s doorstep.

Marc McCrae, General Manager of the newly-rebranded Ramada by Wyndham Belfast, said: “We’re thrilled to not only see the results of this significant investment, but to introduce guests to our new brand. The completion of the refurbishment and our rebrand marks an important milestone for the hotel.

“We’re lucky enough to stand in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter – Belfast’s entertainment and cultural centre. Thanks to that, and the city’s booming tourist trade, we have enjoyed plenty of success in recent years, and we look forward to continuing this trend by ensuring nothing less than a first class experience for our guests.”
