Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, Newmarket’s luxury Hotel, restaurant and wedding venue, is offering the perfect romantic experience for couples this Valentine’s Day. The Hotel’s award-winning restaurant, Squires, will be serving an exquisite 3-course set menu, complete with a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival, 14th – 16th February 2019.

For those looking to extend their Valentine’s getaway, the Hotel is introducing two luxurious Valentine’s Day packages which will be available throughout February.

Recently awarded Best Venue (Town or City), East of England, at The Wedding Industry Awards for the second year in a row, Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa is truly a romantic destination, in the heart of Newmarket; a stone’s throw from beautiful Cambridge and historic Bury St Edmunds.

The first of the Hotel’s overnight offers is the Valentine’s Day package, which includes a 3-course dinner at the Squires restaurant, an overnight stay in a Superior Room, a complimentary bottle of chilled Moet & Chandon Champagne and a box of luxury Hotel Chocolat chocolates in your room on arrival, plus – the perfect ending to a romantic retreat - a delicious full English breakfast. The Ultimate Luxury Valentine’s Day package features an upgrade to a Luxury Suite, chocolate dipped strawberries on arrival, and the inclusion of a bouquet of six red roses.

The Hotel’s Valentine’s Day menu has been created with love by the Hotel’s award-winning Executive Head Chef, Sean Melville, and includes signature dishes such as sautéed wild mushrooms and truffle, seared fillet of turbot and lobster ragout, and an incredible passion fruit crème brûlée.

Sean comments: “Creating this year’s Valentine’s Day menu has been a true pleasure for myself and the team. Our kitchen team provides all of the catering for weddings at our venue and it’s always wonderful being able to create memorable dishes to make people’s big day extra special – it’s exciting to replicate this for couples on Valentine’s Day.

“All of our ingredients are sourced from local producers and suppliers. This not only allows us to serve the best quality food, it also means that we hold very close relations with our suppliers and sourcing new ingredients for our special menus is never too much trouble!”
