The Isle of Eriska, Hotel, Spa & Island joins ICMI family

Isle of Eriska Hotel
The 5-star Isle of Eriska Hotel, which sits on a 300 acre private island estate off the west coast of Scotland, is to become part of the prestigious Inverlochy Castle Management Company (ICMI) portfolio from 1 September 2017.

Named the Hotel Management Company of the Year at the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards, the ICMI family boasts some of Scotland’s best known small luxury hotels, including Inverlochy Castle, Cromlix, Greywalls and Crossbasket Castle.

ICMI will manage the resort and Michelin star restaurant on behalf of Creation Gem, the Hong-Kong based family business which took over Eriska in 2016.

Norbert Lieder, managing director of ICMI, said: “The Isle of Eriska, Hotel, Spa and Island is one of Scotland’s best known and loved country retreats and we are delighted to welcome it to the ICMI family.

“Over the last year the Rong family have sympathetically upgraded the 25 hotel rooms and built four new self-catering lodges to make sure the estate offers the ultimate in luxury for guests.

“We look forward to working with the general manager Gordon Cartwright, head chef Conor Toomey and hotel team to build on the hotel’s fabulous reputation.”

Mr Rong, owner of Creation Gem, said: “My family and I are honoured to be the custodians of this iconic property and we want to make sure it provides one of the best guest experiences in Scotland. ICMI has a proven success delivering the very best service at its existing properties and we know we can trust them to support Eriska’s management well into the future.”

The Isle of Eriska Hotel is also a member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux hotel association and joins the ranks of 550 luxury properties around the world.
