The venue, situated in 15 acres of glorious Berkshire countryside, now boasts 11 upgraded function rooms, including the impressive Berkshire Suite, accommodating up to 200 guests, which features floor-to-ceiling sash windows and an extensive patio, offering ample outside space and picturesque views of the venue’s manicured lawns.
The transformation also includes four state-of-the art boardrooms, each themed in a different colour to create visually stunning and unique work spaces that instil creativity and inspire learning. Named The Green, Yellow, Blue and White Room, each boardroom space has been fully upgraded with a 3.5m glass writing board - replacing the more traditional flipchart. The Blue Room has a 55” SMART screen TV with integrated table-top EVOline® ports to appeal to the most innovative meeting delegate.
The White Room, one of the largest of the colour themed meeting spaces, accommodates 17 delegates and offers, upon request, a selection of vividly coloured ‘Fatboy©’ beanbags for a more laid-back and informal creative business environment. The largest meeting room, following in theme of colour, The Red Room has a capacity of 45 in cabaret style and 70 in theatre style, and features an integrated projector screen. In addition, the meet space has direct access to a private garden with seating area, offering a peaceful outdoor element for delegates.
The dedicated conference area also benefits from an enhanced break-out offering, including a revamped Energy Zone for grab-and-go coffees, teas and all-day snacks, including healthy and savoury options, together with retro computer games, iPad’s, phone charging station, computers, wide-screen TVs and a tuck shop of vintage sweets, pop-corn and a DIY milkshake station; positioning The Royal Berkshire at the forefront of the modern meetings and events scene.
Andrew Colley, General Manager, commented, “We are delighted with the transformation at the Royal Berkshire which, subtle in places and vibrant in others, is sympathetic to the traditional architecture and in keeping with the history of the property, whilst offering a creative space in which to meet, learn, celebrate, inspire and ultimately, enjoy!”
The venue upgrades also include 35 freshly designed sleek bedrooms including The Spencer Suite with a spacious lounge area equipped with home cinema and gaming station, and the Lady Mary, with sumptuous bathroom complete with AquaVision.
