Following the visit, the AA remarked that the the restaurant at Cantley House - which serves dishes ranging from Halibut Pavé to Oven Roasted Pheasant Breast - had been “particularly enjoyable”. The seasonal menu was also singled out for praise, and described as “soundly prepared and cooked skilfully”.
A stately home set elegantly amidst acres of Berkshire parkland, Cantley House offers the comforts of a charming Victorian Mansion, conveniently located within easy reach of Wokingham, Bracknell and Reading. Set beside the luxurious 36 bedrooms, Miltons at Cantley House is located in a converted 17th century barn and boasts its own private courtyard amidst the hotel’s spectacular grounds. Specialising in modern British food, the menu features seasonal specialities as well as an extensive wine list.
“It’s fantastic to see the hard work of all the kitchen and restaurant staff honoured in this way”, said General Manager Thomas Tyranowicz. “We are immensely proud of Miltons and our food offering at Cantley House, so it is especially gratifying to receive such glowing feedback.”
“I’m delighted with the award of two Rosettes”, added Head Chef Andrius Barauskas. “It’s taken a lot of hard work to transform Miltons into a fine dining restaurant, and is quite an achievement for the young team that we’ve built in the last 18 months. This will definitely spur us on to continue improving.”
