Warming cocktails, Winter walks & Spa rituals with Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas

A member of National Geographic`s Unique Lodges of the World and voted Europe’s Best Luxury Hideaway Resort at the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2015, Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas is nestled in a world-class national park teeming with wildlife and cosy enclaves – the ideal winter escape. This season, guests will be treated to an array of winter warmers - from spiced cocktails by the fireplace, invigorating spa treatments and charming rooms. Discover restoration and tranquillity with these sumptuous comforts alongside panoramas overlooking the snow dusted, magnificent mountains.

While staying with Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas, guests can enjoy the crisp mountain air with lunchtime picnics or winter walks, where the grandeur of nature is revealed through rivers and mountains, dense forests, alpine lakes, gorges and ornate bridges. With a range of trails on offer, there is a selection for both leisurely walks and those who prefer something a little steeper to take in this area of outstanding natural beauty.

Returning to their cosy mountain rooms, guests can enjoy a superb dinner and relax beside their very own fireplace overlooking mountain panoramas - an alternative to Greece’s well-trodden ruins and island beaches. Two-storey villas are also available, offering a private mountain retreat for families and groups. The villas are spread over two floors, with the two levels connected by an interior staircase, which separates them so that they can function as two independent homes. The resort is also surrounded by a large variety of flowers, plants and trees which offer seasonal mountain aromas such as sage and thyme during the winter.

Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas is seamlessly on trend with the farm to table movement sweeping the industry, utilising organic ingredients from their very own vegetable garden, free-range meats and sourcing others from local farmers and artisan producers. This is reflected in the property’s restaurant Salvia, named after the indigenous herb of the Zagori area, which is known for its medicinal and aromatic properties. In winter, the property focuses on seasonally available produce in addition to warming spiced cocktails, which can be enjoyed by the fire between 4 and 7pm.

Complementing the moments of rejuvenation and wellness at the property, guests can treat themselves to the sauna and heated indoor swimming pool which offers exercise and relaxation with a magnificent view of the mountains.

Aristi Mountain Resort & Villas offers nightly rates in a double superior room on a B&B basis from £115 based on 2 sharing.
