Recreate Downton Abbey at Huntsman Court

Commemorate Downton Abbey’s best moments during a weekend stay at Devon’s exclusive-hire stately home

While Downton fans across the UK mourn the end of the hit period drama, Huntsham Court, the magnificent, exclusive-hire stately home in rural Devon, has its footmen at the ready for guests to re-live the Downton Abbey magic.
Built in 1869 and fully restored and refurbished in 2012, Huntsham Court is available as an exclusive-hire country retreat offering relaxed country house grandeur – perfect for aristocratic Crawley family role-playing.

"We never know what's coming, of course, who does?" says Lord Grantham to Carson in the penultimate episode. On the contrary, guests will know exactly what to expect at Huntsham Court – and we can confidently guarantee a stay here will exceed expectations.

On offer are five impressive reception rooms and comfortably grand accommodation for up to 80 guests in 34 individually styled bedrooms – many with en-suite facilities – plus the freedom for guests to do as they please. The current owners firmly believe that guests should make Huntsham Court their own country home-from-home – and that includes replicating a Downton theme if they so choose.

Huntsham Court is the perfect setting for fans of the TV series to live the life of Lord and Lady Grantham and their family for a weekend, while young Georges, Sybbies and Marigolds will enjoy running around Huntsham Court’s five-and-a-half acres of immaculate grounds and playing hide-and-seek in turrets or under four-poster beds.

The Huntsham Court team can supply a full staff including chef, footmen and maids. Alternatively, guests seeking total privacy may hire Huntsham Court on a self-catering basis and enjoy cooking in the house’s magnificent double-height vaulted octagonal kitchen, next to the 12-seater Butler’s Pantry for more intimate meals.

Huntsham Court can be booked for a day, overnight, mid-week or weekend stay and operates a flexible check-in policy. Guests do not need to hire the entire house. There is the option to hire 19, 27, 31 or all 34 bedrooms.

Guests can hire out Huntsham Court from £100 per person per night based on two-night full occupancy of 34 bedrooms at a total cost of £13,600.
