Hilton events centre at Terminal 4 to get £1.3m upgrade

New design will ‘stimulate creative thinking’

Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 is to invest £1.3m on upgrading its Conference & Events Centre. The property, cited at the World Travel Awards as ‘Europe’s Leading Airport Hotel 2015’, boasts a 2,509sqft that will be enhanced with state-of-the-art design and top quality business facilities.

Originally designed by US-based Manser Associates, who were responsible for the hotel’s original build 25 years ago, the current conference centre upgrade is the second part of a four-phase renovation project that will culminate with the first floor atrium rebuild planned for 2017.

The new centre will be equipped to the highest technical standards, with audio and visual equipment – including video conferencing – to offer a fully interactive experience.  Its layout has been designed to ensure every meeting and conference element is executed with style and ease to meet all business requirements.  Guests can choose from 15 meeting rooms with capacity for up to 300 visitors.

The design will feature a black and white design with splashes of gold, which is believed to promote creative thinking. There will be particular emphasis on space and relaxation in order to divorce the environment from the busy airport scene outside.

Jurgen Sutherland, Area General Manager, Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, says, ‘It is of utmost importance to offer the best business centre facilities to those travelling to and from London.  The hotel was a design leader when it was first built, and the current refurbishment design reflects the original ground-breaking architectural standards.  Heathrow Airport sees a large number of travellers passing through on a daily basis and the hotel is perfectly placed to provide both business and leisure travellers alike with fantastic facilities that they need.’
