Scheduled to open in mid-2016, Conrad San Luis Potosi represents the first Conrad brand hotel in Mexico, reinforcing Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to expanding its portfolio of brands throughout Latin America.
“Hilton Worldwide is focused on growth throughout Latin America, and Mexico is at the core of this strategy. With more than 30 existing hotels in Mexico and approximately 30 projects in our development plans, the signing of Conrad San Luis Potosi and introduction of a new Hilton Worldwide brand further solidifies our efforts in this dynamic country,” said Tom Potter, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide.
“We are proud to announce this sixth project with Inmobiliaria Canels, SA de CV on the heels of our recent partnership with the opening of Hilton San Luis Potosi in April.”
Located near high-end retail, residential, and corporate offices, the site for Conrad San Luis Potosi is a short distance to the city’s state-of-the-art convention center, attractions and historic center – listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site within Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the Royal Road of the Interior Land.
Designed by Ochoa Arquitectos and Profettional Design, the nine-story steel building with glass curtain wall will feature a signature restaurant and bar, more than 10,000 square feet of flexible meetings space, a fourth floor outdoor swimming pool and fitness center. Its 135 guest rooms will feature signature Conrad amenities, plush bedding, and spacious bathrooms.
“The Conrad brand has seen exceptional growth in cities worldwide, attaining a portfolio of 24 properties across five continents,” said John T.A. Vanderslice, global head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts. “San Luis Potosi is a sought-after destination which is experiencing tremendous economic growth. This new hotel confirms our commitment to connecting global travelers to inspired destinations and granting them access the best the city has to offer.”
Conrad San Luis Potosi will offer the popular Conrad Concierge mobile app, which gives global luxury travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during, and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it's pre-selecting bath amenities or checking-in while in-transit from the airport, guests can access a variety of features by using the app.
