Meliá Hotels International partners with UNICEO to enhance visibility in the MICE segment

The company joins the international association for corporate event organisers

Meliá Hotels International has strategically partnered with UNICEO®, the international association for senior corporate event organisers, to further enhance Meliá’s standing as a leader in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Exhibitions) segment.

Meliá Hotels International will actively cooperate in UNICEO® projects, which promote and encourage the exchange of professional experiences and know-how among members. Meliá will also become a global sponsor and provide support for the activities of the non-profit association based in Geneva.

The agreement helps Meliá Hotels International strengthen its positioning in the MICE segment as UNICEO® is the only international association of senior managers, who are responsible for the decision-making and organisation of corporate events for major international companies.

Meliá Hotels International has more than one hundred hotels, across all its brands, offering specialist meeting facilities and equipment, creating a wide variety of corporate event spaces and specialist onsite teams who provide a personalised service.

The company has pioneered the development of MICE tools to meet the needs and preferences of corporate clients. This includes:
• Greater control over spending
• Innovative online tools that aid organisation of events
• Unique concepts such as:
o     Power Meetings by Meliá, a high-quality program providing  an environment designed to engage all senses and inspire fresh minds at a low-cost
o    EcoTouch Meetings, a sustainable program which uses a series of measures to safeguard the environment,  including the use of recycled materials and the elimination, where possible, of plastic
