Inkaterra opens a new luxury Hacienda in Sacred Valley of the Incas

Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba
Peruvian sustainable tourism pioneer, Inkaterra, is celebrating the opening of their latest luxury hacienda, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The twelve-room traditional Peruvian "casa" hacienda opened its doors this month and will see a further twenty-four boutique "casitas" joining the property this summer.

The hacienda draws architectural vision from the local country state home designs of the region, combined with a traditional colonial flair to create an "Andean luxury" interior design concept. Local materials, comfort and art are at the heart of the hacienda's inspiration and guests can chose from four luxury room options, each offering spectacular views of the Andean mountains.

Guests are encouraged to get involved in the traditional farming methods used to manage the 10 acre farmland surrounding the hacienda, including "tacclas" - traditional foot ploughs and oxen.

A range of eco-experiences are on offer, ideal for guests wanting to acclimatise to the altitude before a visit to Machu Picchu. Visits to sacred Incan ruins, bird watching excursions, horseback riding, mountain biking and river rafting are just a few of the experiences that Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba has to offer.
