The Dylan Amsterdam ushers in City’s top artistic talent

Amsterdam’s leading boutique hotel The Dylan Amsterdam announces a new partnership with leading Dutch gallery Morren Galleries inviting visitors to uncover the best in photographic contemporary art. Initiating the collaboration with an exclusive rotating exhibition in the beautiful canal house Morren Galleries has specially selected a number of figurative artworks for display, all of which will be up for sale.

With the installation of the exhibition designed to be complimented by the property’s own celebrated design and colour pallet, the collection of contemporary works will hang in The Dylan Amsterdam’s Brasserie OCCO and The Long Gallery – accessible to both hotel guests and visitors to the hotel’s restaurants and bars. Ranging from £2,855 / €3,600 to £4,600 / €5,800 the displayed works will be available for purchase directly from Morren Galleries at Prinsengracht 572.

Billy&Hells photographers Anke Linz and Andreas Oettinger have been partners since 1986, beginning work in the field of fashion photography before moving into advertising and finally exhibiting a more autonomous series of photographs. Defined by the discovery of a new technique – the Lithprint – their work is characterised by beautiful Baryt images.

Just four years out of college Brooke Shaden is deeply rooted in the world of contemporary photography. Identified as a self-portrait artist, despite the non-autobiographical nature of her work, Brooke attempts to create new worlds she wishes she could live in and photographs herself within them. She uses painting techniques along with a square format to replace traditional photographic properties with otherworldly elements.

Founded in 1993 the Morren Galleries is a renowned Dutch pioneer of figurative art, with two galleries located in the heart of the cultural and historical districts of Amsterdam and Utrecht. The gallery also specialises in photography, monumental sculptures and large paintings.

Enjoy the exhibition with a lunch plate at The Dylan Amsterdam’s OCCO brasserie from £19 or stay at The Dylan in a double room from £301 per room per night including tax. Room price is exclusive breakfast and exclusive 5.5% city tax.

The rotating exhibition at The Dylan Amsterdam in partnership with Morren Galleries will continue indefinitely.
