London Marriott Hotel County Hall launches live from the leaders music nights

The five-star London Marriott Hotel County Hall has unveiled a new series of live acoustic nights at its exclusive Leader’s Bar. Kicking off at 7.30pm on Wednesday 9 April, the first evening will showcase the talents of rising indie star, Jo Wood, pop duo ISSIMO and Tony Moore, one of the founding members of Iron Maiden.

Launching in collaboration with MP Mike Weatherly’s annual music competition, Rock The House, the evenings will provide a platform for some of the industry’s hottest talents across 2014 – with future evenings already planned for 14 May, 11 June and 9 July.

Songwriter and musician, Jo Wood and her band are currently touring the UK following the launch of her acclaimed debut ‘You & I’. Described by the Huffington Post as ‘one to watch’ for 2014, Jo’s soft and melodic sound is not to be missed.

Duo Issimo combine Abi Uttley, 2013 winner of Rock The House and the tournament’s runner-up, Marc Otway. 2013 was a great year for the two-piece seeing them play festivals such as Latitude, Bingley Music Live, Galtres, Beat Herder and Go Sky Ride.

Located on the capital’s popular South Bank, the London  Marriott Hotel County Hall offers breath-taking views of Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, making it the perfect venue to enjoy an evening of great music.

The Leader’s Bar is an intimate area, decorated with images of former political leaders who graced the London hotel’s

halls when it was once the headquarters of the Greater London Council. The space also offers a terrace overlooking the hotel’s dramatic courtyard – ideal for evening drinks.
