State of the art design delivers meeting success across London

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) of Company Managed Hotels are investing in pioneering new meetings spaces across London. The multi-million pound redesign of 'The Academy' at Holiday Inn London Kensington-Forum, Holiday Inn London-Bloomsbury and Holiday Inn London Regent's Park will position the hotels as the leading meeting and events venue for business guests in London.

Due to re-open throughout February and March the refurbishments will reflect cutting edge design based on industry insight, leading trends and technology to deliver a step change in meeting facilities, state of the art break-out spaces and brighter meeting rooms. Guests can also enjoy superfast wifi, quiet work stations with printers and a choice of board games or table football for a little relaxation between meetings.

Paul Harnedy, Director of Operations for IHG’s portfolio of Company Managed Hotels in London said: “The meetings industry has changed dramatically over the last few years, with delegates wanting to feel less restricted and more creative. Developments in technology mean that meeting styles have changed and we are continually aiming to improve our standards and ensure we remain innovative in responding to evolving business guest needs.”

With convenience being key, all three venues are centrally located with excellent transport links across the city and with the facilities to cater for multiple events from team meetings and training sessions to product launches and large conferences.

It’s not just the meeting spaces that have been refreshed. In a UK hospitality industry first, the hotels will launch an exciting new food and beverage philosophy that’s just been accredited by Food for the Brain - industry experts in food and cognitive behaviour. Recognised for reaching high standards of nutritional excellence the ‘Food for Thought’ menus are bursting with super foods to fuel the mind and support energy levels to provide a unique meeting experience which will help delegates stay focused throughout the day, achieving maximum productivity.
