Madhu’s Heathrow brings new Indian dining concept to the Sheraton Skyline Hotel

The Sheraton Skyline Hotel London Heathrow has unveiled its innovative new Indian restaurant.  Offering authentic Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist, Madhu’s Heathrow is the first new restaurant from the distinguished Madhu’s brand since the opening of its renowned Indian restaurant in Southall, West London, over 33 years ago.

The menu at Madhu’s Heathrow has been developed by the restaurant’s two Indian Head Chefs, Harash Narang and Gurmeet Singh Daul, and includes secret recipes handed down over four generations of the Kenyan Anand family, owners of the Madhu’s brand.  With a focus on dishes prepared using the restaurant’s live Robata grill, the menu demonstrates a delicate balance between the flavours of the different meats, vegetables and spices and the distinctive char grill taste.

Robata dishes on the menu include: Bharwan Calamari, baby calamari with aromatic spiced salmon rillettes; Madhu’s Machi, whole seabass in onion and carom seed marinade; Malai Murg, char grilled mascarpone and cardamom infused chicken cubes; and Nyamah Choma, succulent prime cut lamb ribs, marinated in chilli and lemon charred on the grill.

Madhu’s Heathrow also offers a selection of classic appetisers; salads; meat, fish and vegetarian main courses; biryani dishes and traditional Indian desserts.

The Madhu’s Heathrow launch follows a complete redesign of the restaurant space at the Sheraton Skyline with the introduction of stylish new furnishings in the Madhu’s colours of black, red and gold; the creation of two Chivas private dining rooms which can seat up to 10 or 12 people and the installation of the Robata grill at the heart of the dining area.

Madhu’s Heathrow was officially opened with an exclusive launch party on Friday 17th January with Guests of Honour, Keith Vaz MP, Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee, and The Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, in attendance.  Both are strong supporters of opportunities like this one for family-run businesses and are personal fans of the Madhu’s cuisine.  Mr Bercow marked the unveiling of the new restaurant to the first VIP diners with a heartfelt speech and ribbon cutting.

Established for over 33 years, the first Madhu’s restaurant is an institution in Southall. Madhu’s is also renowned as being exclusive caterer for Indian weddings and events across many of London’s most luxurious hotels, as well catering for Indian events hosted by the Royal Family at Clarence House and Windsor Castle.  Madhu’s speciality foods are also exclusively available in Harrods’ and Harvey Nichols’ food courts.

Madhu’s Heathrow is open daily for dinner from 6pm to 11.30pm.
