Bikes for delegates at the SECC

Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) unveils delegate bikes
Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) unveiled a dynamic new partnership with Nextbike at International Confex today. The agreement gives conference delegates at the SECC complimentary access to Nextbikes throughout the duration of their event as part of an initiative to encourage healthier delegate practice.

Nextbikes are available throughout Glasgow and enable easy travel between the venue, and hotel district and right across the city. Conference delegates at the SECC have 45 minutes free bike time, as many times as they like throughout the conference; be it in the morning before the event, over lunchtime and post event.

“We’re hoping that our association conference clients encourage their delegates to take the opportunity to travel free of charge whilst doing something healthier whilst exploring the city,” comments Kathleen Warden, Director of Conference Sales, SECC.

“Conference delegates are a major part of the city’s economy and we’re keen to support any initiative that makes them feel welcome, and opens up the city to them,” comments, Tessa Carnie, Operations Assistant, Nextbikes. “This is a unique partnership we have with the SECC and we were delighted to be working with them.”

The SECC and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau are also in partnership at International Confex this year as they stand share for the first time.
